EXCLUSIVE!!!! SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE OF COMMONS! Rt Hon Michael Martin MP Visits the School

Last Friday, the Rt Hon Michael Martin, MP for Glasgow North East and the Speaker of the House of Commons, came to visit Mr McGowan and his Podcasting/Blogging team.

Mr Martin spent a great deal of time with our S5 and 6 pupils discussing a range of topics - topics that affect the young people of our school, our city and our country.

We will be publishing our exclusive recordings ASAP.

Mr Martin does not give interviews, so it was a small coup for our school and our dedicated team who have contributed greatly to the success of the Big Roch Digital Project.

Young Scottish Muslim Talent of Tomorrow

Our new MYSP Ikram Salad has won the 'Young Scottish Muslim Talent of Tomorrow' award. She was nominated by the EAL Unit.

The award was presented to Ikram on Monday 18th June 2007 during the Young Scottish Muslims’ Conference.

Congratulations once again to a very hard working pupil who deserves the credit and praise that comes her way.

Ikram is a great role model and example to all the young people of our school.
